Here is one of my favorite ways to use ginger (along with Aleppo Pepper another hidden gem I learned about along the way). I can’t wait for you to try this super simple chicken recipe. Go ahead and get your rave reviews!

Ingredients:

1 lb boneless chicken breast, cut into small strips-yes you can use skinless chicken thighs cut into cubes.

1/4 cup brown sugar

3 tablespoon sesame oil

1/4 cup soy sauce

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 Tablespoon fresh ginger (ground ginger if you don’t have fresh)

1/4 teaspoon Aleppo pepper (or more is you want it spicier)

1/4 cup lemon juice

2 green onions, thinly sliced

Sesame seeds

Instructions:

1. Whisk together the sugar, oil, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, chili flakes, Aleppo pepper, and lemon juice in a large bowl.

2. Add the chicken strips and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. OR use that beautiful air fryer.

4. Grill the chicken strips for 5- 7 minutes per side, until cooked through.

5. Garnish with green onions, sprinkle sesame seeds, and additional lemon juice, if desired.

6. Enjoy with a side of steamed rice or your favorite veggies. Yes, this sauce is delicious on veggies, too!

How do you cut up fresh ginger?

Is Liquide Aminos a good substitute for soy sauce?

We like it! Liquid Aminos is often used as a soy sauce substitute because it has a similar taste. It is made from amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein. This makes it a good source of protein, but it is also high in sodium.

What is the best way to cook cauliflower rice?

Want to cut carbs and not serve steamed rice? There are several ways to cook cauliflower rice, but the best way is to sauté it. To do this, you will need to cut the cauliflower into florets and then pulse in a food processor until it resembles rice. Then, heat some olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add the cauliflower rice. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until the cauliflower is cooked through.

Can I use red pepper flakes if I don’t have Aleppo Pepper?

If you don’t have Aleppo pepper, you can use red pepper flakes as a substitute. Aleppo pepper is a type of chili pepper that is used in Middle Eastern cuisine. It has a moderate heat level and a slightly fruity flavor. Red pepper flakes are made from dried chili peppers and have a similar heat level to Aleppo pepper. They will give your dish a similar flavor, but it will be slightly more fiery.
